October 19, 2026Layering starts with the rug, not the throw - a room reads as finished the moment the floor does. A wool rug that has been loomed, not printed, lies flat within a day or two of unrolling, no weights needed.
From there one throw folded over the back of a sofa and a single cushion with some weight to it does more than four of each scattered everywhere. Texture reads better in contrast than in volume.
